This week’s testing highlights: 10 games across Epic, GOG, Amazon storefronts — including games like Gargoyles Remastered, Shadow Tactics, and Salt and Sanctuary that I could have easily turned into gaming sessions instead of testing sessions! All 10 games tested this week work perfectly out of the box on Junk Store 2.0.

G’day Everyone!

Apologies for the lateness of this week’s post! The weather hasn’t been the best these past few days, which means our internet hasn’t been cooperating either. Couple that with school holidays and lots of people up at their holiday homes, and it makes for very slow internet for us on the boat. Thankfully today is a beautiful Spring day, which gives us a chance to dry out and warm up! If only summer could arrive a little faster—that would be bliss.

Anyway, let’s get to it!

Games That Didn’t Make the Cut

Unfortunately, there were a few games this week that didn’t cooperate during testing:

Nightingale (Epic) - Encountered a persistent error claiming the game couldn’t link to Steam—despite being an Epic title. This one needs further investigation to understand what’s going on.

DragonStrike (Amazon Prime Gaming - GOG key) - The DOSBox configuration files weren’t located where Junk Store expects to find them. We’ll be implementing a fix for this and other DOSBox-based games in an upcoming update.

Paladins (Epic) - Decky Plugin only - Couldn’t get this working on the Decky version, though given our unreliable internet this week, that may have been the culprit. The silver lining? It works flawlessly on Junk Store 2.0!

All three games will be retested once we’ve resolved these issues—stay tuned for updates!
