Junk Store Tested - November 05, 2025
This week’s testing highlights: 20 games across GOG, Epic, Amazon, itch.io storefronts — including fun finds like Magnibox (itch.io) and Bendy and the Ink Machine. 19 games work out of the box!
Kia ora Everyone!
This week’s post is delayed as we took the weekend and Monday off (no computers or work allowed) to attend a family reunion on the mainland in Auckland. It was an amazing day all round: perfect summer weather, great food, and most importantly, great company. We were able to catch up with family we hadn’t seen in far too long and were happy to see everyone was happy, healthy, and living their best life!
Now we’re back to business and looking forward to getting stuck into work this week. There were a few games that had my number this weekend: Magnibox and Bendy and the Ink Machine. I spent hours on both of these games, having an awesome and long-overdue gaming session (Eben even took some time out to play a couple of games!).
We announced yesterday that we’re moving to portal-only sales of the GOG Extension, so if you’re looking to purchase it, you can now only get it from our dedicated Junk Store Portal. You can read more about the update in our recent blog post.
Anyway, here’s how the weekend’s testing session went:

Looking Forward
Next week’s Epic Games giveaways are Felix the Reaper and a bundle pack for Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms. Felix the Reaper looks like my type of game — I love puzzle games, so I’ll have to do my best to not let my testing session turn into a gaming session! Not sure yet what we’re getting from Prime Gaming, so it’ll be a surprise for us later this week.
